This is the title image for Tami's Tower: Let's Think About Engineering. There's a colorful cartoon drawing of a jungle with a monkey, elephant, panda, and crocodile plus colorful building blocks stacked up in a tower.... The monkey is climbing the tower to get some red fruit on a tree.... The game art makes it look like the game is aimed at children aged around 10...

So we are taking over Venezuela? Please vote in the primaries and in November.
I do not support what my country is doing.
Since the Kennedy Center no longer exists:
We need a Kennedy Center in exile. Maybe in Baltimore?

βEvery part of the world seems to have a different interpretation of what it means to make a game. All connected by a love for creating themβ¦ Iβm inspired by how wildly different every community is.β
Two years is the perfect amount of time! It's impossible to do it faster, given thenpoaytesting etc and any longer, you get tired of it and the tech changes before you finish!! You did great, I would say!!!! I'm going to try to get my siblings to play with me over Xmas!
Congratulations!!! ππ½πππ½πππ½
People were not _crazy_ drunk! It was a lovely evening of togetherness... And fireworks set to Christmas music, of course! Baltimore City. We do use our streets well, don't we!?

This meditation rattles in my brain, too! A game can teach how the electron transport chain, to free us from the mitochondria as a "powerhouse" The game Microscopya by @microscopyagame.bsky.social for example. It approaches a playable model. Such games can prep players for more complex concepts.
However, as you can guess, games teach a particular model of a system. Every model has its limitations, as does every game. Some have resisted using games to teach abstract concepts I think b/c we can't make the game "real enough" but everything is a model, just the best model we have for now.
I make games that teach science. As you sais, I am especially interested is being able to teach without using metaphors. Games require players to learn a set of rules, a system if you will, and then to try to solve well defined problems in that system. So, games are great for teaching science.
