I empathize as I was 17 when my father was diagnosed, and it took almost two years to find a specialist that could do so back then. His started in his hands and GI tract. My mother and I were his caregivers and it impacted me greatly to see his bravery. I admire you and my heart is with you.
Rare and/or invisible diseases are so difficult to navigate for the person suffering as well as their loved ones. That is why federal funding for research is so
important as that is the way we as a society can raise awareness, find support and solutions to fight with the hope of winning.
I have a great care team and under treatment. My lung fibrosis was invisible, and caught when I was suffering with double pneumonia.

In your bio I read you are in a battle with scleroderma, the disease that overtook my father 45 years ago after a 2 year battle. My heart is with you and I applaud your courage. The science has come a long way since my father’s battle, but this fight is never an easy one!
You spoke the words “I’ve been sent to hell” so plainly that it resonated with me. I haven’t truly been able to even verbalize this thought to myself until I read your statement! This is true for a lot of Americans for so many reasons, with love for our constitution being at the core!
