yess! I come from a mixed cultural background with different ways of encoding knowledge so I find it interesting what we think of as knowledge&meaning, which fortunately is kinda what my degree is about. I lean to towards the “all knowledge is a useful make-believe” camp

but in terms questioning & choosing a method of reasoning, that’s the entire field of epistemology right there. like “where does logic even come from” is a p good question with no satisfying answer I’ve ever seen

I think logic can sometimes be a lot more like the latter. it cannot tell u anything about the world is true on its own. it can only take the truths u give it & tell u what other truths must exist if that one is true

hello. I am a logician & I am happy to answer u if u would like ♡ but wld u like to explain a bit more so I know I am answering the right question?

I think the reality is, they r gonna have maybe four people equally qualified to pick from at the end. when one of those people r trans, it is easy to not pick that one. unfortunately, even if they r the sort of person to vote in favour for trans rights

until finally it all starts to come together & the determination starts to pay off. then u r doing khan academy every week & following every dream u couldn’t b4

& most importantly, all it takes is something small to begin with. starting dysfunctional but then starting a good habit like water by the bedside. screwing up & falling back again, but always trying ur best, even if that is small

I am no where near on the lvl of some of my peers & that is good for me bc it reminds me that I’m not special. I’ve just been working hard for a while now & it rly does pay off. no matter what u can always keep improving urself. u nvr stop growing

I read more. lots of essays. I actually have a good handle on maths now. my artistic skills have increased in ways I used to nvr be able to grasp. I meditate more easily. I can finally manage my time ok-ish. I pick up new skills faster than evr b4. I love my old lady brain. she is so good to me

it is a lie. u don’t get dumb with age. I have so much more mental plasticity than I did in my mid-20s. I think people just say that bc they give up learning after uni. I am no genius, but I am by far the smartest I have been in my life so far
