finished off soremachi. incredible series and one of the best SoL stories i've read through. definitely on par with other genre favorites like aria and yokohama shopping log. loved this

Soremachi finale is one of the all time greats, ties into the story quite beautifully too. Def recc the manga if you haven't already.

Tatsuno is severely underrated imo. Maybe it's because Kon basically replaced her in the second half of the story as the main friend but her tsukkomis were too fun.
She also had more depth than people give her credit for. Justice glasses!
Seems like there's hardly any love for toshiko in soremachi. Everybody seems to love hotori or futaba smh

Soremachi was a great slice-of-life show even if it's faded into total obscurity now and Hotori is one of the all-time great chaos protagonists. I cried during the finale.

Shinbo mentions in a 2010 Soremachi interview that they somehow ended up doing 400 cuts per episode 'nowadays' (in contrast to the standard 300 for TV anime. He did 308 for Tsukuyomi: Moon Phase episode 1, which he boarded), but realizing Nise #02 has 500+ (again, TV anime) is insane lmao
