Yes, I am not disagreeing with that.

Just saw a job ad for a hospice vet that listed "Ambition and enthusiasm for advancing end-of-life services" as a requirement.
You can, but since Blizz doesn't tend to lean toward unreliable narrators, there should be lore notes about the reality of the situation somewhere. They did this well in other places in Midnight!
You even gave him a great mustache!!! I love him!
This story is extremely easy to find just by reading the Sunwell's wiki page, which means if this retcon was made in error, the quest writer did not even look it up :x

2. Same story says the high elves in the Plaguelands noted they no longer needed help coping with the loss of the Sunwell, because it was restored. Not that their addiction was gone--just sated. And also that the Light being in it is different lol.
Rereading In the Shadow of the Sun (2012) and pulled up two lore bits that have been weirdly retconned in Midnight:
1. Rommath (and everyone else's) assertion that he has authority over Umbric because he's the Grand Magister. Lor'themar pretty clearly says his authority is above Rommath's here.
The Sunwell was purged of corrupt energy, but it wasn't the corrupt energy the elves were addicted to. It was the arcane. The reason they suffered is because they had no access to the giant pool of arcane they were connected to, and once it was restored as Light/arcane, they stabilized.
Yes, but I think the error is they think the Sunwell cured them post Kael'thas.
I love you Manus Deathwake, Forsaken warlock cannibalizing a dead guy in the Voidstorm.
And I have no idea what the actual lore is because of it. Am I meant to take that at face value and say oh, for the past 15 years the blood elves have actually been cured? Or is it an error in the quest writing that I am meant to disregard? This isn't an unreliable narrator situation, it just sucks.
This is exactly why WoW NEEDS a lore team to check quest material. The Sunwell did NOT cure blood elf magic addiction, it just sated it at a stable rate that kept blood elves operating as normal. They need(ed) it to survive. Putting something like this in game is a staggering retcon!
Literally whoever is writing this (we know) has just headcanoned Anasterian into a good and just king and decided to make it everyone's problem. Oh Vereesa loved Anasterian? Vereesa? Are you sure? Explain to me why the high elves were alliance, dev hard mode edition: you cannot say Kael'thas.
New allied race idea:
People do this constantly with wow and it always annoys the shit out of me. "I'm going to apply some incorrect nonsense I just assumed about real life societies to wow, for some reason". please read anything!! anything at all!

I made a topic about this a few months ago, and an MVP told me to repost it in bug reports. Thread is here with no response from Blizz or an MVP

I'm glad they spelled it out so plainly in the game but am surprised by how many people were unaware this has been the lore for a long time. Goes to show you updated lore quests really are needed.
Yes omg. Living in fear that Blizz will go "we need to dumb this down I guess" and I'll be subjected to dragonflight writing 2
MG gets a new "Redeemed Scarlets" guild every few months. Thankfully the last one we got seems to have blown up already, and the Faol quests about it don't really treat them kindly.
I am so fucking sick of scarlet apologists it's unreal
Maybe it's because the game has trained us for so long to expect nothing, I don't know. But it's definitely disheartening to see people let very basic messages slip through their fingers over it.
I think people have been expecting a plot about the Light being a bad guy for so long they are unable or unwilling to look at the plot of Midnight objectively. I've seen so many criticisms of the plot that just miss the point entirely or straight up aren't what's written.
I love that the arm rests have ridges on the top that would stab your arm if you put them there. 10/10 chair design. Chair for clowns.
A blindfolded and somewhat stern looking Night Elf with a full figure, tattooed with lunar motifs and other markings, wearing one Moonsilver shoulder-guard. One large long braid hangs over her bare shoulder, hair streaked with gray or silver. She has numerous, numerous dangly earrings and piercings in her nose and bottom lip. She’s cast in dramatic shadow, light illuminating her right shoulder, cheek, and neck.

I'm not sure what you mean? The Scarlet lore has been that way for a long time, where they are able to use it because they are zealots.
The fact that I have seen "Lothraxion would never do [Voidstorm stuff]" as a real argument from people......... like yes mama that is the point. The Light is making people act differently, ESPECIALLY lightforged people. Turalyon is also lightforged!
