UK Govt will bring Scots down to England's level by scrapping free tuition, privatising water, NHS, etc under the label "harmonisation" If you think England's Govt will give Scotland more power or protect what we have built, you haven`t been watching what they are doing since 2014. We need Indy

The only changes you will ever see in the relationship is devolution being increasingly eroded, and the removal of all the policies that the SNP have introduced to ensure no Scot has any social benefit that does not exist in England. .

You can bet Israel will hit those loading facilities next, they won`t be able to resist, giving Iran the perfect excuse to widen its response to the oil infrastructure of everyone else.

No doubt they will have it all backed up and duplicated elsewhere, shouldn`t imagine it will cause much disturbance really.

Still avoids the question of why Devolved Govts aren`t given that funding, it implies they don`t know best where funding needs to go, its condescending, patronising and ultimately undermines Devolution, which is exactly its purpose.

While child poverty has reduced in Scotland, even one young person growing up in poverty is one too many.
Today I announced £5.8m for organisations supporting families across Scotland – joined-up help, delivered locally, to improve life chances for children.

Quick photo from a KLM Cityhopper cabin where I've just boarded heading for the quick hop from Bristol to Amsterdam
Getting ready to head from Bristol to Amsterdam to sign a relationship with a European healthcare systems provider which will feed into global NGOs
Enabled by the Scottish Govt, UK Govt were useless.
Brexit also got in the way - but our French presence mitigates.

It would be like a rabbit warren inside, add 150 year old tinder dry timber floors, windows, rafters etc, sending men into that would be like sending them in to a maze, let alone getting access a nightmare on a Sunday afternoon, not surprised it tragically went up like it did.

More like the Hall of the Mountain kings, can`t see him being amenable now his mother, father and wife has been wiped out. Its almost as if the Iranians knew and planned accordingly, at 86 fulfilling a prophecy isn`t a bad way to go is it ?

Nothing like someone looking to wreak revenge, especially a modern, well educated, strategically savvy, person. Things just got much, much worse for the US/Israel and everyone else.

caused exclusively by giving control to private corporations, who of course will always tell you nationalisation is inefficient, whilst still holding out the other hand for public subsidies (the standing charge and UC), we forgot who is meant to benefit, how, and why.

We lack the ability to have grown up conversations in the UK about what is deemed "good" because we constantly lurch from one crisis to another due to short term thinking and obsession with private is best, that's the British disease, well English one anyway,

So no, in my view privatisation has been an utter disaster for this nation, given the myopic view most people have of only pricing, we suffer from the inability to ask the right questions, focussing only on choice and the illusion of competition over horizons of just 2 years.

They now own, control and profit from work originally done here. As to consumer prices, the French were able to limit thier price rises to 4% when the Ukraine war broke out, unlike us, at 15% - 20% because they retained public control of thier critical energy infrastructure, unlike us.

Its not an accident the European continent supplies nearly all our renewable hardware, they got a huge boost from much of the original research from our nationalised engineering base and ran with it due to support from thier govts who had nationalisation and industrial base strategies, unlike us.

Thus weakening our infrastructure, kicking the bill down the road (we are paying the delayed investment bill now, we are, note, not shareholders) exporting R&D costs onto international companies, giving away yet more strategic control of future tech, losing massive market opportunities.

I watched as accountants moved in with accountancy tricks, moving things off balance sheets, deferring maintenance cycles to sweat assets way beyond thier design life, delaying investment cycles, ie rural overhead lines being stretched to do 30 - 35 years instead of 15 - 25.

I watched as within 2 decades it all passed into mostly foreign hands Siemens, ABB, Babcocks, David Brown, Weir pumps, Steel, etc, all now multi billion dollar markets, with the loss of approx. 5 million well paid industrial jobs here, literally wiping out the UK`s industrial base within 15 years.

Private ownership predictably then went on to ditch research here, cut things to the bone, sweated the existing assets and went for the short term dash for gas turbines, chasing quick profits. Thus the cutting edge tech developed by UK industry all disappeared overseas.
