It's Bandcamp Friday and that means today is the best day to buy some stuff on Bandcamp. Personally today I bought the soundtracks to Demon Tides and Finding Paradise (for I think the second time), but you can find much more!

Well lookie here. We have a logo! One day I may shell out the cash necessary to get a really fancy logo but for now I am very very happy with this. Feels more real, now.

I have three guests lined up and planned including Peter, I hope to record with them soon and I can't wait for you to hear them!

My current plan is to release the first episode of Pixel Symphonic on March 19th! We'll kick things off with my first guest: Peter Spezia

The plan is to release a new episode on the third Thursday of every month. Eventually once the Patreon is set up, it'll get new episodes one week early.

I think I'm gonna start recording episodes within the next couple weeks, but for now I want to announce that I'll have a logo to use (for now) very soon! Within the next couple days! You can see the almost final draft of it in our new banner art!

Hi, I know a podcast that hasn't even started yet isn't much in the realm of "promotion" but I would really love to talk to you about this at some point once the show gets off the ground!

The third and most iffy on whether I will want to do more of them will be bringing on a guest that's more a friend in order to talk about the history of a long running game series with a particular focus on its music. The pilot attempt for this is planned to be a multi-parter about Final Fantasy.

The second type would be to try and bring on people not necessarily in the games industry but who do stuff adjacent to it, such as YouTubers and such, and talk with them about some of the soundtracks they love and why they love them.

The first type is the most important and the main one I want to do as much as possible: I will try and bring on and talk to guests who have experience either making music for video games or something adjacent (like OCRemix for example).
I want to hear from the people who make the music we love!

The start of the show is gonna feel a little bit "throw it at the wall and see what sticks", currently I have three types of episodes I would like to try out to see what works and what doesn't.

First off, Pixel Symphonic is a podcast that will be solo hosted by @stringpixel.bsky.social featuring a different guest every episode. The aim is currently to release one episode a month, with the episodes eventually going up one week early on a yet to be made Patreon.
