this plot feels really familiar... it ends well, right?
...right?
the vatican has been LYING to you - keeping all of GOD'S HOLY CAKE for THEMSELVES!
this game is an all-time front-to-back banger - if you don't have it already you should snag it
"THIS refactor will fix everything.... for real this time..."
An altered photo of Dr. Manhattan from the Watchmen comic series - the original panel is where Dr. Manhattan says "I am tired of this earth, these people" - the altered text reads "I am tired of this Spaghetti code. I am tired of being caught in the tangle of its lies"
the inevitable fate of all programmers on any sufficiently large project... even if you wrote most of it yourself
"but lord when I look back in the sand I only see one set of footprints"
"ooooooh, yeah that's my bad dawg. I, uh... I had a thing"
The game my friends and I spent 8 years working on outside work is finally done! We're proud to present COLD CALLING, a real time puzzle game where you man the White House switchboard during a satirical, alternate history Cold War.

I don't know when or where, but the day is coming where my job will be to un-slopify some code and I'm gonna be real salty about it
Coaching sports is basically just an auto-battler
God, these commercials are such ass
Tuned in just for the halftime show, stayed to watch the announcers to just absolutely shit all over the patriots on live TV
Slowly, but surely! I only get an hour or so here or there to plug away at it, but I'm having fun
i'm so excited to try any other engine after this project is done tho, holy shit
I don't often get motion sickness but I think all that work for a smooth single-to-splitscreen transition might be a dead end
anyway, this project remains a "fun" challenge of getting to hit a lot of places in Unreal I haven't touched ever or for a while.
Splitscreen is going pretty smoothly so far, but I wanted to work on transitions from splitscreen to single screen and back.
Let's just say... some work better than others
my "away from home" laptop has a similar situation - depending on the exact specs there are some companies that have 3rd party chargers that might cut that weight in half - I use a SlimQ and it's pricey but it's held up admirably for years
"nice backpack"
"Thanks, I -"
"How many liters of water can you dump into it?"
momma ain't raise no coward
whyโd they call it a circle jerk and not goonionizing
"darren aronofsky creatively bankrupt" using a tmnt logo generator
I should give that a shot - I feel so bad that every time I pet Bentio in the winter I have a 50/50 shot of giving him a little static shock
not to mention how expensive it is to keep a studio + servers and infrastructure alive. I hope they beat the odds, for the devs' sake, but they'll need some runway to keep it going until it finds the audience
Sadly (by no direct fault of their own) I think it will play out similar to other live-service shooters released in the past few years (including the last project I was on)
The games coming out now are better than ever, but people are playing new stuff far less, and PvP is just oversaturated
to be fair I do place most of the blame on the disgusting and toxic mob mentality that the internet (and assholes like disrespect) have intentionally fanned. "influencers" are just picking up on it too, vitriol gains clicks and money and creating a braindead whirlpool
the good "doctor" is devoid of any shred of empathy - he'll do anything to get the limelight for even a few minutes. What Geoff was thinking... beyond me, but they're both just have a very warped understanding of the world the rest of us live in
god i feel for this team - set up to fail by a bunch of non-dev vultures teeing them up for the internet's disdain. All for some views and clicks
nothing at GDC is worth risking your life over
"more secure" - I'm trying to read an article, not log into my bank
not sure what happened where every other website I ever log into is now asking me to use 2-factor auth from my email instead of the password I have for the site but
i fucking hate it - stop this.
