Rescued an earwig that ended up in my toddler's bath tonight. My son, who may be the only human ever to have fallen in love with these creatures the moment he saw them, exclaimed "it's SO CUTE! It's GORGEOUS! It's the most adDORable bug EVER!" I don't see it, but I'm glad he does.

After we had our kid we let a big part of our backyard go and it looks like crap to us, but we've never had more birds nest here. We now have lazuli buntings making babies here and I'm so thrilled!

Got to see this gorgeous Pink Zebra Beauty tarantula at @oregonzoo.bsky.social. Their insect zoo is a favorite spot for our toddler, and usually the tarantulas are snuggled up somewhere hard to see, so this one being out and about was a rare treat!

Our favorite local coffee shop gives our toddler a cup of whipped cream with sprinkles whenever we go. Now as soon as he sees us pulling up, he starts chanting "sprinkle cream!"
Did I learn about this option only after asking for a pup cup without the dog bone? Maybe. 🤣 We were dog parents first.
