Lent begins today, which means I will again be giving up social media. While I am not a practicing Catholic anymore I still find the lent to be a good time to recalibrate and refocus. I will still be on discord because I use it for projects, but otherwise? See you in six weeks!

Good news: my mom does not have cancer.

Bad news: what she had is a small tissue growth that’s actually already been there for 10 years and is completely unrelated to the stroke-like symptoms/cognitive issues she’s been showing for the last few weeks, so it’s likely something neurological.

I’m not hypomanic anymore and I would like to go back because the weight of reality is setting in and I have literally no idea how I’m going to survive the next few months at my current stress levels.

Yesterday was taking my mom for surgery on her foot, today is helping my mom while my dad is at an appointment for his new MDS diagnosis. Tomorrow is taking mom to the head and neck surgeon to see about this tumor.

also today: seeing my psychiatrist for my routine check up.

I FINALLY slept last night after a week of getting no more than 3 hours at a time. I slept 12 hours straight. It felt amazing.

My sleep meds still did not arrive in the mail today. Will they arrive tomorrow? Will I manage to get any sleep tonight? Or will I stay awake for 48 hours straight?
