Marketing isn’t about tricking people into buying.
It’s about helping them find a solution - your solution - to solve their problem.
This is the age of one-person companies.
Here’s the business model:
• Build an email list.
• Grow your list with free content.
• Monetize with a subscription and products.
Small teams. Big margins.
Money obsession is just phase 1.
In phase 2, you realize time matters more.
In phase 3, you build systems that free you from thinking about either.
Most never make it past phase 1.
Unpopular opinion
1- you can’t learn to code in 14 days
2- yeah a micro saas can generate some money, but it’s more complicated than that => churn management, marketing….
3- saas should bring some value as service, not every app is a saas
What should I add ?
Tired of these indie hacking trends:
- Side projects with 0 users being called a SaaS
- SaaS gurus with 0 users & 0$ MRR
- Cult-like following of some popular ppl that defend them no matter what
- Hyping AI-generated junk
- Submitting links everywhere for DR boost
