🌿Today is #WorldWildlifeDay, and this year’s theme highlights the role of medicinal and aromatic plants. These plants support countless human activities, from the herbs and spices we cook with, to the fragrances used in perfumes, and major scientific and medical discoveries.

Charles Darwin’s journey aboard the HMS Beagle - particularly his observations of the diverse finches in the Galápagos Islands - became the foundation of the theory of natural selection, the key mechanism that explains how species evolve over time.
