The Public Broadcasting Act of 1967 created the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. I reread it today; nothing in the law allows a president to defund PBS and NPR. In fact, Congress specifically sought to insulate public media from political pressure.
How is this making us healthier?

I remember when Republicans pretended to be against big government. In fact, they just wanted it to be *their* big government.
Tariffs are taxation without representation. We wrote a whole Declaration of Independence about it. Threw tea in the harbor and everything.
Autistic people have always existed and always will.
With increased awareness and improved screening, autism has been better diagnosed.
This is a POSITIVE development that should be met with expanded resources and opportunities for all!🧡
But most importantly, there's no profit motive here. It's all about what's in the public interest. As the Trump administration impounds funds for key institutions and we all must look to alternative funding sources to stay afloat, let's think about how the power of the purse can be distributed.
