In September, we filed an appeal challenging a #Texas court’s decision that cleared the way to strip the birds’ federal protections.🧵

There is No Scientific Justification to Revoke the Endangerment Finding The U.S. EPA's decision to repeal the Endangerment Finding will limit the government's ability to regulate emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases under the Clean Air Act.

As I say here, there is no scientific justification to revoke the engagement finding. In fact, over the last 15+ yrs, the evidence of how climate change affects our health has only grown. Higher risk of allergies, dementia, fertility, heart disease, and death: that’s what’s on the line. @nature.org

Americans face serious exposure to harmful chemicals that are linked to rising cancer rates, developmental disabilities, and chronic disease. Trump's campaign promised to address this crisis and "Make America Healthy Again." Instead, it is weakening the rules that protect us from toxic chemicals.

SCOTUS will hear Exxon’s effort to crush climate lawsuits Justice Samuel Alito did not recuse himself from considering the petition, despite significant financial conflicts of interest in implicated cases.

SCOTUS has never taken up Big Oil's arguments to kill climate lawsuits before. What changed?

For one, Alito didn't recuse himself, despite big $$ ties to oil companies that are defendants in many similar cases that would most likely be affected by a ruling here. And despite recusing in the past.

Idle oil and gas wells threaten our safety, health, and climate.

They can leak climate-polluting gases like methane — explosive at high concentrations — and toxic chemicals like benzene, which is linked to several kinds of cancer.
