The ways in which that show was eerily close to my experience working at an Apple Store (besides the actual severing process) was…off-putting, to put it mildly.
…hypothetically, of course.
this also doesn’t stop shoplifting because this isn’t where you pay for the items. you can have an employee unlock this and then do a lap and then just walk out of the store without paying.
i'm sure there's a larger point about how companies need to incentivize their user base, because the current food delivery app model of "$14 meal costing $28 after fees" is a far cry from most pizza places' "30 minutes or less" policy. even dominoes just did their "free emergency pizza" thing
pretty sure i did this two or three times in all; still chasing that high, but capitalism is such that we will never see the likes of that again. they also once gave out full pints of lactaid chocolate ice cream & all the fixings you'd need to make milkshakes. for free!
in 2016 postmates had a promo where you could get 1 free starbucks holiday drink, just pay for delivery (at the time like $3). couldn't add multiple drinks to the order, but there was a loophole where you could increase the quantity of the "one" drink in your cart. i got six peppermint mochas for $3
