We cried about this today. I was in a make up chair crying on the phone with my partner. The cruelty.

The news has been so heavy these day and I've been on autopilot mode and have been immersed in things and today, was reminded to pull back a bit and quieten myself for a hot minute.

Fieldwork this weekend was particularly heavy. Humbled, ashamed by some of the stories we heard.

Made a coffee and chocolate banana bread which rapidly vanished like this 4-day weekend.

Reads for September. My reading has really picked up in the last months. Here's hoping it continues. Been carving out regular reading time — something I had started during the lockdowns but since stopped.
