To be Black and to think in public is always fraught because there's always a mix of fair critique alongside unadulterated anti-Blackness and racism. The racists are always lying in wait.
Some of you use intersectionality & solidarity not as radical practices or structural analysis tools but as a reason to ask Black people to shut up & suffer quietly.
The conversation about whether disabled people can be racist is outright ableist & outrageous.
Ask the many Black PSWs & caregivers doing support & domestic work for white disabled people.
I also don't think it's constructive or useful to really debate whether a middle-aged white man in Britain is racist in one of the most racist and fascist countries on earth. He is, because everyone "positively" racialized is, antiblackness is a universal currency.
This is not a conversation of disability versus racism, the reality is that disabled Black people experience the worst of both.
Ableism is inherently rooted in anti-blackness & eugenics.
It's so clear to me how many people view anti-black racism as a matter of offense or hurt feelings - rather than constant interpersonal and systematic violence, destruction of our health, our bodies & our communities.
Antiblackness IS disabling, anti-blackness predisposes people to premature death.
