Like, it’s kinda not good when just one company controls everything, you know? Right now YouTube still seems to see traditional media as competition, so I think we’re probably okay for a while.

And also, apparently there’s no such thing as a shadowban on YouTube. If your views aren’t growing, it’s just because your CTR (Click Through Rate) isn’t great, or whatever.

So like, right now it seems monetization is getting taken away mostly from people who keep posting tons of super similar Shorts over and over. From what I’ve heard, YouTube’s goal is basically to wipe out those AI slop channels.

Anyway that's my tea anyone else dealing with this rn??

I see creators crying about these changes 24/7 and I get it, but as a viewer?? I'm team YouTube on this one.
Those content farm vids are fun once and then you're just like "bro I’ve seen this exact thing 47 times can you STOP"

I post MMD stuff sometimes cuz it eats views but honestly that's probably next on the chopping block too. It's someone else's motions, not mine

Apparently even using the same intro/outro every time counts as "no creativity" now?? Like chill YouTube.
It's mostly Shorts for now but if this spreads to long vids and streams we're all screwed.

But now I'm scared so I'm gonna drop it to like once every two weeks or something don't wanna lose monetization right when I'm popping off, ya know? Feels like they killed my vibe fr.

Also tested a ton and figured out if I only use like 3-5 sec chorus clips and keep it under 60 sec, no copyright strikes (unlike my Beat Saber vids lmao)

I was literally about to run this for 3 months straight to see if it actually works for growth…

Spent forever coding a little program that grabs view count data automatically. Finally got the whole system running smooth — same format, just swap the rankings, super easy.

So back in November I did this Hololive top 40 songs live stream and it kinda slapped?? Everyone was loving it.

I was like "bet, I should make weekly ranking Shorts to pull people to my main vids"

As a viewer I'm lowkey kinda happy tho?? Those AI content farms pumping out the exact same video 100 times were making me wanna scream. Like bye bye spam pls

But also… my channel could totally get hit next and I'm big mad about it

omg YouTube is straight up demonetizing SO many channels rn
like if you're reusing clips or using the same template every time, you're basically cooked.
