After a series of dog incidents weโ€™ve temporarily closed Hayley Wood (Cambs).

Despite clear signs, dogs off leads have disturbed birds, damaged rare wildflower habitat, staff were verbally abused when asking for leads.

This is just so gross. This AI โ€˜creationโ€™ looks 15 (this tracks with this regime ๐Ÿคฎ). I bet the various medals, stripes etc make no sense, the foot thing is weird and her name tag says โ€˜US ARNYโ€™. 1 million followers. I just canโ€™t with this hellish timeline

lol, no worries. I had no idea your house was an ex farm. Must be a nightmare. The flat (not in my building mind, but down the street) was a maze of tin foil, dodgy electrics and crap everywhere. I can imagine itโ€™s been, umm, challenging with your house to say the least

My friend, who lived in that block, had all sorts ringing her bell at god awful hours. She had two young kids at the time. Thankfully all in the past but yeah, not fun. Sorry for your difficulties ๐Ÿฅบ

Omg! ๐Ÿ˜ณ

This was deffo not your place. Wrong city for starters. I live in a flat, nice Art Deco place. Weโ€™ve had a major drug kingpin living here (before my time) and more recently, one neighbour was running a brothel whilst the other was selling drugs. 1/

A photograph of a wren. She is perched on a branch, looking straight ahead, surrounded by foliage and branches. She is a mottled brown bird, some feathers are a bit ruffled as she was in the middle of preening herself for a big date.

A photograph of the same bird. Here, her head is turned and she is preening the top of her uplifted right wing.

My photo shows part of a limestone wall panel carved in bas relief from the Fifth Dynasty mortuary temple of king Userkaf at Saqqara, Old Kingdom, 2465-2458 BC. It shows a Hoopoe, a crested bird with black and white wing pattern, and an ibis, with long curved beak, amongst papyrus plants in the marshes of the river Nile. My photo was taken in 2022 at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.

Lovely naturalistic relief of a Hoopoe and Ibis, carved by an Egyptian artisan some 4,500 years ago!

According to PEW, teens in households making under $75K are more likely to use chatbots for help with all or most schoolwork. I read a comment on another platform that said this is amazing news because we are "finally going to close the achievement gap." That is not how I would interpret this data.

A photograph of a Comma butterfly, Polygonia c album. It is a very orange butterfly - this one looks freshly emerged - with scalloped wings that have black, reddish-brown and yellowish markings. It is resting, wings out, on some dry grass, clearly enjoying the warmth of the sun. I saw two of these today.

A photograph of a Brimstone butterfly, Gonepteryx rhamni. When it flies about, it often looks quite yellow. At rest, as here as it sits on the ground, its wings are up, showing the lime green colouring with small brown spots of its underwings. The wings are cleverly designed to look like leaves. Here against the brown ground, it is a bit more noticeable, but when it perches on plants, it blends in perfectly. I saw about eight today.

A photograph of a periwinkle (Vinca minor). It has a wee resident, a small immature flower crab spider (Misumena vatia). The flower has five purple petals, set against its green leaves. The spider is white and sits with its legs pulled up, waiting for prey or simply enjoying the sunshine.

Lots of butterflies and other inverts out today, enjoying the sunny day. IDs in the alt descriptions. Iโ€™ve gotta start packing the macro lens again!

Ikr? There was some post on here awhile back about the so-called dire situation of food here in London. Mainly Americans not in London making these comments. I didnโ€™t bother commenting because I figured if they couldnโ€™t find good food in London then they didnโ€™t deserve good food in London ๐Ÿคฃ

Itโ€™s so mixed here. We also have Chinatown of course, plus some small ethnic communities with great restaurants and shops. Itโ€™s way too much of a cultural shock for her, clearly ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ
