And even as his base chooses facts that he finds inconvenient in the moment, he’s still pushing toward the next phase: Everyone is entitled to the facts that Trump presents. What institutions of power will be left to disagree?

But these ICE agents are not police. We don't have a national police force. Policing is state and local in the US. "Police" implies local origins, understandings, connection, and accountability. 1/
This was always going to happen. It was just a matter of when. No way was that ICE agent justified in shooting that woman. No fucking way. And this will happen again. And again. And again. Unless ICE gets off our streets.
