I have little doubt this is how most decisions in the “DOGE” era came about and highlights the many, many shortcomings of using LLMs in decision making.
This is also a good reminder to those of us (me!) working on warnings/comms that there are hard & sometimes confusing decisions to try and make by those impacted. I fall into the trap of trying to get things accurate, but even at its best there are so many granular decisions people need to make.
