I am SO excited, thrilled, over the moon (all the adjectives!!!) To announce that my debut novel WHEN THE FOREST WHISPERS will be published by Orbit UK & US in early 2027.
This still feels completely surreal.

if gen ai has a million haters i am one of them. if gen ai has a thousand haters i am still one of them. if gen ai has one hater it is me. if gen ai has zero haters it means i have left this world. if the world is against gen ai then i am with the world.
What if I didn't so much read it as I did absorb it quietly into the fabric of my being like weird word osmosis?

I was doing so well, writing every day, hitting my word count goals, and then I ran face first into the burn out wall and I've done nothing in my "free" hours but snack, nap and watch Critical Role for three weeks.

Cover of THE BOOK THIEF by Markus Zusak. The title is in white font stylized to look like painted lettering done by and uneven hand. It I'd over a sepia-toned photograph of a human hand knocking over the first in a long, wavering line of Dominos.

I always feel weird giving unsolicited writing advice- I'm a good writer & I have an agent but that doesn't make me innately more qualified to give lessons or tips on craft. But that said, if you ever have a question or want eyes on your query package or 1st draft, my DMs are always open.
Absolutely one of my faves!
