This is the take.
The part in GREMLINS where Mrs. Peltzer dual wields blades.
We are working out while in dress clothes, somehow the worst of both worlds.
You had me at Flanagan panel.
Oh, so we're ranking Star Wars are we? Okay, here's my top 5 SW things to watch UT students watch in my transmedia storytelling class:
1. Holiday Special
2. Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure
3. Mace Windu sequence of Tartakovsky's Clone Wars
4. Chauvinist Cut of The Last Jedi
5. Star Wars Uncut
Thank you for being willing to participate! It's paused for the moment while I sort through responses, but I will let you know if that changes!
Iβm just going to say it: Halloween stores have officially gotten too scary to safely walk through.
In this house we are currently honoring two Mr. Octobers.
Thanks folks! Randomly drew the following names out of the hat, if this is you please DM me your address and I will send you a copy: @tlknoell.bsky.social @chicagoforce.bsky.social
Oh look, another βAll fans of (insert franchise) are dudesβ clickbait article has dropped, which means itβs time to give away a couple of copies of my book βFake Geek Girls: Fandom, Gender, and the Convergence Culture Industry.β
Comment below if you would like to be entered into this raffle!
Would love to discuss your feelings about them.
As a massive Bitch Planet fan, this absolutely made my day.
Thank you for taking the time!
Sure I think so! We are going big tent with the term βfandomβ here
Thank you! I have been getting a lot of βitβs so hard to choose!β
Epic. I would love socials for them!
Thanks for sharing!
Oh there is a whole section already in this chapter on Bitch Planet tattoos (and itβs the one Iβm contemplating getting to celebrate this book being done)! Thanks for sharing!
I want to recreate this in my house. Epic.
I quote this roughly once a day.
Not me getting misty at 10:22pm on a Wednesday at the amount of times the word "joy" is coming up in my fan studies research these days. Really needed right now, sending some your way.
Feel free to share on other platforms!
I appreciate you taking the time!
Conversely, just this week, a friend who does not like Shrek noted that they purchased a nail polish from a licensed tie in line (likely #colourpop, who makes a ton of these) because they loved the color.
Cut to San Diego Comic-con 2016, where there was a full MAC activation/pop up shop to show off their new Star Trek line. I remember wishing I liked the color of the βKhaaaaaaaan!β nail polish better.
In 2013 I vividly remember seeing this ad as part of the Cover Girl βcapitol collectionβ tied to Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Something distinctly/appropriately dystopian about giving the coal mining district a smoky eye.
