Itβs the most wonderful time of the yearβ¦ to watch some horror movies. Some of my favorite Christmas horror movies:
1) Black Christmas (1974)
2) Anna and the Apocalypse (2017)
3) Krampus (2015)
4) Christmas Bloody Christmas (2022)

Itβs about time but I finally watched The Substanceβ¦ what a wild ride that was and it definitely deserves all the praise. #thesubstance #horror
It's always impressive what horror movies are able to accomplish on a shoestring budget. Especially in the days before computers.
Lots of those practical effects from 70s and 80s movies still hold up decades later.
Fall in New England means posing with pumpkins and picking apples like you are preparing for a fight ππ
@amagire@mastodon.social elevated horror: what if you're grieving your loved one TOO MUCH? folk horror: what if a child's disability could EAT PEOPLE? supernatural horror: what if your childhood trauma could EAT PEOPLE? psychological horror: what if your adult trauma could EAT PEOPLE? body horror: what if your gender dysphoria could EAT PEOPLE? slasher horror: what if a random guy was trying to kill you, instead of a cop or your boyfriend?
this one doin numbers on mastodon but bsky doesn't let me have enough characters
Me as I gather all my horror movie collections like a debauched scavenger
I once saw someone say that The Exorcist doesn't really "work" if you don't have religious faith, but I'd argue that the scariest thing about the film is that it forces you to confront what your idea of the devil is and how you perceive the definition of evil.
Moving day with my baby bean π§‘π€
In the midst of moving, the TV is packed up and only a single skull lamp in the living room. Last night was the perfect horror movie night to wrap up a long day. #horror #barbarian #movienight
Me when people say they donβt like horror movies π€
An original horror movie doing numbers like thisβ¦ wow keep going to the theaters and talking about movies you love. When I say horror is an art form I mean it. This genre has been maligned for years and itβs only going to grow the more we support it. #weaponsmovie #horror #filmsky

Whatβs one horror movie you never get tired of watching? π₯πΏπ
SCREAM
I donβt think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.
This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.
It is setting up to make whatβs happening now look like childβs play. And people are disappearing.
With Pride month coming to an end, I wanted to share some of my favorite queer horror movies:
1) Scream
2) Hellraiser (both the 1987 and 2022 films)
3) Jenniferβs Body
4) The Old Dark House
they should have every horror film character do an interview like this, Freddy Fazbear comes out as bi or something like that
I could watch this movie a million times over!
Back to back weekends with movie nights for me, with Sinners last weekend and Final Desitination: Bloodlines tonight. Both movies were definitely worth the hype.
Sinners was an amazing story and so beautifully done.
Bloodlines is definitely one of the better of the Final Destination Franchise.
Listen. This is the time to use your voice. Loud and fuckin proud. *Crave* to have the right people pissed off at you (because they are in fact, the wrong people). Trans folks, black, brown, queer folks and everyone who doesnβt fit into some pre-approved box deserve better than what we are givin.
This has to be the best news Iβve heard today!
Finally seeing Nosferatu tonight π€
