the AI "fixes" didn't fix the issue, in fact, it made the issue worse *and* broke several other steps.

3/4 of the fixes that were implemented by this AI thingie is just spacing and tabs. yeah i get it, the codebase is messy as fuck and it's gone through several different IDEs and engineers and each one has its own idea of how to format it. running AI over it to fix that is silly.

he said he would index both the front end and back end code and try it himself and i'm just... ok, that's probably not a good idea to give it our fucking proprietary code base, and i doubt it'll still be able to figure it out but good luck.

one of my engineers suggested i ask chat**t about why something was failing in our code. i said "that's like asking 'why doesn't my motor work' without lifting the hood of the car". how is an LLM going to determine why something in our code doesn't work when it doesn't have that code to look at??

i used a pen out of my bag at the post office yesterday and it barely worked and today i was trying to write out notes with a different pen that i really like and it was struggling and i kept trying to force the issue before i said "i do not have time for this shit" and threw it out.

life is too short for pens that don't work 100% all the time.

target was the only big general department store i would shop at (and still only occasionally). i've been anti-walmart for 20 years. i would go to upper end department stores for clothes and some household stuff (macy's, nordstrom) but have mostly stuck with smaller chains and mom&pop stores.

sadge, it doesn't get close enough to see surface bits. on the current maps with satellite views, you can see the outline of the impact crater which, according to wikipedia, was from 1.89 billion years ago.

i'm going to go see if the crater my home city is built on existed before this or after!
(spoiler, pretty sure it's before, i think i read that the meteor hit something like a billion years ago or something like that)
