We were delighted to accept £120 from Finley Spurr and Edward Lloyd, who spent their summer school term selling ice lollies in order to fundraise for Beckford’s Tower and Bath Preservation Trust! Finley (pictured) visited the Tower to present the funds raised to our CEO Alex Sherman in person.
In August's late opening of Beckford's Tower, visitors will enjoy exploring the Tower and Museum by twilight, in addition to a guided tour of the historic graveyard. A special time of day to experience the Tower and surrounding landscape.

Once the domain of one privileged man, the Tower and surrounding landscape is now accessible to all. While the Museum's displays give much to think about, there are also moments of quiet reflection to be found.
Open weekends and Bank Holiday Mondays. Museum contains themes of enslavement.
The #heatwave is set to continue all through the weekend and beyond! If it all gets a bit much then our #museums are pretty cool (in every sense😎)!

Did you know? This grotto was buried underground for over 100 years, until a team of excavators uncovered it two years ago. Once used by William Beckford as a tunnel in his garden between his home in Lansdown and the Tower in the early 19th century, it gradually became buried and forgotten about...
