Bob kinda looks like Stan Patton lol
Welcome to π¦, Petar.
I donβt like that so itβs fake
Butterflies donβt go tweet! I propose we call them butts.
Does spinach also make your mooscles stronger?
Kalomaze!
Canβt tell if the pipe is real or not?
Fair enough
Everyoneβs a Mandik fan!
Could be both, but fair enough.π€·π»
Cats like to copy their owners. You should purchase a tiny toy computer and see if she sits in front of it.
Canβt wait for the newer DeepSeek models. Theyβve been somewhat slow with releases lately, however their open models are by far the best.
Engaging meaningfully requires focusing on substance rather than assuming bad faith over imperfect phrasing. It really seems to me like you're trying to fish for an argument where there really isn't one. I apologise nonetheless. 2/2
I think a more charitable reading was warranted here. βunless you take some extreme position like Lance Bush?β was more about acknowledging your position as as distinctive or noteworthy in some way - requiring more discussion than is possible in the allotted 300 characters. 1/
@petemandik.bsky.social you may find this interesting!
Looking at the benchmarks, Pixtral Large seems to be roughly on par with (or slightly worse) than Qwen-2 72B VL! Chinese open models are consistently better, itβs crazy.
Being atheist here is considered extreme by almost everyone who isn't atheist, which is most people. 2/2
*By popularity and the general publicβs reaction to it.
Iβd like to add to that even the reactions of relevant experts - many philosophers of mind also consider EM and illusionism extreme.
Atheism still is extreme in many places. My country is around 80% Evangelical Christians, for example. 1/
β¦Iβm yet to hear a substantive definition of what a physical thing even is. Are things only physical insofar as we find explanatory features thereof? 2/2
Yes, I also consider nonphysical properties extreme and outlandish and prefer empirically-grounded alternatives. I donβt recall myself mentioning anything nonphysical though. In general I am not sure how I feel about the physical/nonphysical distinction becauseβ¦ 1/
Awesome! Congrats.
good job Lucy :3

Welcome to Bluesky! Was wondering when we may get you here. Iβve already asked Tao to come over here, perhaps you can urge him on?
I think this app will benefit if more βcelebritiesβ of their respective fields came here - would help it grow.
Something like eliminative materialism or illusionism would accordingly be pretty extreme.
I donβt have a strict rank, this is vibe based. I like to imagine how the general public would react to a philosophical position as well as how popular that position is amongst other philosophers in the relevant field. In my mind stronger reactions generally equals more extreme.
Extreme in the sense that you do not neatly fit into any of the buckets, or really even like any of the buckets.
No issue with that, you were my first introduction to meta-ethics and my views align closely with yours.
Question:
Do you read any Eastern analytic philosophy? From China, for example. Is it any good?
Nah, itβs just because youβre my philosophy goat. <3
