This advertisement promotes Watneys Red beer, claiming it is stronger and tastier than other beers. An independent analyst conducted a pub crawl to test various beers, and Watneys Red came in second, leaving many competitors behind.

Red is a much better pint. But better than what?

We know. You've all read that Watneys Red has been made stronger. You may even remember the figures. A one degree increase in original gravity and a ten per cent increase in alcohol content. 'Great' you say, 'but how does it compare with other beers?' To be frank we wanted to know, too. So last November we asked a well-known independent analyst to go on a pub crawl. (In the interests of science, of course.) He visited pubs in London, Leeds, Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham and Newcastle collecting samples. He tested all the popular beers like Red for strength. It would be nice at this point to say we were the overall winner. In fact, we were second, beaten by a couple of decimal points. However, that still left quite a few beers trailing behind us. "Is it important?" you may ask. In our opinion it is. We believe we've improved the flavour of Red by giving it more strength and body. There's a lot of evidence around that says we're right. And you can dispose of a pint of it tonight. It's a much better pint.

As a member of the SWFC Supporters’ Trust Board I had the pleasure yesterday of meeting the new preferred bidders to buy the club. Whilst ultimately we must judge any owners by their deeds rather than words, I am very pleased to report that the Storches and Tom Costin left me feeling massively

Chimps' taste for fermented fruit hints at the origins of humans' love of alcohol Scientists analyzed the urine of wild chimpanzees who'd feasted on fallen fruit to see how much alcohol they consumed from the fermented sugars.

One for a wedding
Two for mirth
Three for a wedding
Four for a birth ?
I just remembered it after putting my boots in the table to polish , Ada would have not been impressed

Often when engaging with journalists over something they wrote they reply that they didn’t write the headline.
I think it’s time we start naming & shaming the headline writers then. Why should they be allowed an anonymous huge platform to stir up trouble with no consequence?
