The Abigail Shrier book, Irreverisble Damage, which my mom and her book club read (as I am sure so many book clubs did), also didnt consider the perspective of the trans people, only their stubborn and distraught parents. Pointing that out to my mom helped her sniff out the bullshit it was selling.
