I loved recording this conversation with my friend Kristi Mair on some of the books we've enjoyed reading lately. If books play a part in your processing of life and faith, you might enjoy it too.

It's available in audio and video. Details are...

β€œDoubt is not the enemy of faith” is the theme of the latest conversation I’ve had the joy of recording with Kristi Mair & Dave Benson. It was great to chat about the relationship between doubt, faith, & certaintyβ€”both in our own lives & in the church. You can find the audio/video here...

I'm excited to be able to finally share this beautiful book with you, I'd love to know what you think, should you have a chance to take a look.

It's very short, at around 100 pages, excluding endnotes. You can read it on your own or with others, and after each chapter there are questions for reflection or discussion. The publisher has also done a brilliant job of making this an attractive physical object to hold and share.

It is also intended to provide people who would say 'I have experienced and know God' with some fresh language and ways to speak about that with others. It's my hope that 'Somethingism' will shift the way we approach this conversation.

This book was written to help readers start exploring that intuition, and to begin considering the possibility that it correlates to a someone who not only exists but can be encountered and known.

My observation is that most of us have a sense that there may be more out there than only what we can see or touchβ€”not necessarily a God but something. You could call this intuition 'somethingism'.

Drawing on the author’s conversations with hundreds of spiritually curious people, this book is an invitation to begin exploring that sense of something more.

You can read this book by yourself, with a friend or over four sessions in a group. There are questions to fuel reflection & discussion.'/2

How do we deal with our own questions and doubts, as well as those of others? I've just recorded a podcast about this, as episode two of 'the invisible castle podcast'

The first full episode of our podcast has just dropped, with the title '...to be alive is to experience God...', and in it Luke Cawley and Kristi Mair explore some of the surprising ways a clearer understanding of Jesus reshapes our apologetic practice. Audio and video links πŸ‘‡

So far, my impression is this: If Bluesky can manage it's own rapid growth, it will surely overtake X. It's basically what Twitter was pre-Elon.

Just finished recording a couple of podcasts on (1) how we wrestle with questions about faith, (2) developing a holistic apologetic approach. They're basically in-depth convos between me & a friend with whom I have reflected a fair bit about these thingsβ€” making those reflections more accessible.
