AI-generated artwork is officially not eligible for copyright protection after the U.S. Supreme Court declined to review the appeal.
The court ruled that a work must have a human creator in order to qualify for copyright.

Very fun little con if you love TTRPGs and board games! Highly recommend.
They always have so many cool activities! I always end up walking away with neat makerspace swag that's got my art on it!
It has been awhile since I've mentioned ShushCon, so here you go! We have some amazing companies supporting us this year. Some of whom include @chaosium.bsky.social Slug Fest Games, Rio Grande Games, Columbia Games, Northstar Games, Sonemaier Games, Looney Labs, and others!
I've had two types of the trendy new Beef Tallow chips. First, they seem richer and more fulfilling than many other kinds of chips. #NorseRoots chips are really amazing, and feel premium. Beefy's Own are tasty, but not on the same level.
New episode of the Muppet Show was unobjectionable. I'd watch more, if they happened.
It was good, but it wasn't good enough to convince me not to cancel my subscription. I'm not paying a subscription fee to watch that many commercials.
You're personally invited to watch The Librarians, a new documentary about censorship, libraries, and the fight for the right to read, premiering next week on Independent Lens on PBS.

Thanks!
Is this a weather thing? Or did I miss some other horrible thing happen near me?
It's been five weeks now and they still haven't fully released the Epstein files as required by law because withholding exculpatory evidence is clearly what you do when you're "innocent."
X is dead.
Sing it. Sing it loud. Sing it with all the grief and passion your lungs can release.
Teach your kids to sing it at the top of their lungs. Tell them the tears are from your pride.
Not the heartbreak "for the crime of being too good of a neighbor."
Have you watched the Decameron? It isn't long, but it is entertaining.

Watching The Decameron, and it is hilarious.
I also really like the opening credits. Go watch them.
A box I made. Years ago this would have taken two or three days to design, cut, and assemble, but I got it all done in an afternoon.
Settling in for our annual watching of The Hogfather. It is a great way to wrap up one of the best low-key holidays in many years.
100% correct. It seems like cool layout, and makes for an interesting read, but isn't good for players.
It literally feels like the kind of extremely focused and vaguely disjointed stuff I'd write, without any context clues, but then Erik would fix, or make me fix, with connective tissue.
In so many ways this game sings to my GM soul, but it is not an easy relationship.
Correct as far as it goes. But Discworld seems to be better organized to facilitate the kinds of stories it wants to tell. When you have a question the answer is there to be found.
Mythic Bastionland feels more like notes to help the writer, not help new/other GMs.
I really like Mythic Bastionland, but the more I interact with the book the more irritated I get at so many little things.
The layout and design looks amazing at first glance. In reality, it is a poor gimmick that actually makes the book frustrating to navigate and use.
I agree.
Also, genocide is wrong no matter who is doing it.
I guess I should share the Christmas village Connie set up at home to counterpoint the one I set up at work yesterday.
And, heck, I should get pictures of the laser cut buildings we created for our children's services department. So expect another round of pictures soonish.
Our city at work.
Apparently the way to get my son to leave the house is to confuse wax paper for parchment paper when cooking at 425Β°F. I barely even notice the change in the air, but it is 46Β°F outside and he's outside sitting on the porch.
Am I just over board gaming? I sat down at game day to learn EARTH, and mid way through the explanation I realized nothing about the game interested me.
Everything about it looked well made, but it seemed soulless and boring. Like steril corporate graphic design.
