Graphic announcing the start of Daylight Saving Time at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 8. Two clocks with an arrow illustrate βspring forward.β The graphic encourages preparedness while changing clocks: do a fire drill at home, replace the batteries in a NOAA Weather Radio, and replace the batteries in smoke detectors. NOAA logo appears in the corner.
Daylight Saving Time begins at 2am tonight for those of you that applies to, so turn clocks ahead one hour before bed if they don't do it on their own, in addition to doing a few other things you can do to keep your family safe this season.

I have no idea who actually composes these posts but the fact that the President of the United States of America is fine with this kind of stuff being broadcast to the world should be reason enough for everyone, Republicans and Democrats, to seriously question his fitness to hold office.

If this legislation is passed, it would be wonderfully ironic if the racist and antisemitic TPUSA kids and college Republicans who recently got some well-deserved media attention happened to qualify for the state's 'terrorist organization' designation.

"Moon Over Miami"
Ray Charles
βMoon Over Miamiβ Written by tourist The woman was walking across the lobby of the Sonesta Beach Hotel on Key Biscayne and from the Muzak speakers came the strains of βMoon Over Miami.β She stopped, listened intently and then announced to everyone around, βMy father wrote that song.β They asked her to tell the story. Mrs. A. R. Favor, of Philadelphia, is like her father, Joe Burke, who died in 1950. Every winter he came to Miami for his vacation. She does, too. One night in 1936 when the moon was full and its shimmering light glittered through the palms and on the waters of Biscayne Bay, he drank in its romantic beauty and the inspiration came for the song. He wrote the music that evening and put in a rush call to Edgar Leslie to write the lyrics. Immediately βMoon Over Miamiβ became a hit and has been played all over the world.
In 1970, Herb Kelly of the Miami News provided a great story about Joe Burke's 1936 musical composition, "Moon Over Miami."
