FUSUS doesnβt install cameras. It uses already installed private cameras. The thread of surveillance that you need to be worried about isnβt this. Why? Because itβs not helpful. There are many other tools out there such as Pegasus that you should direct your anger towards.
I appreciate your opinion. There is a world where you can be for public safety and pro-choice. Respectfully, we disagree on FUSUS.
Celebrating International Womenβs Day by attending an inspiring book signing with @jessicavalenti! Her work continues to push important conversations forward about womenβs rights, equality, and justice. Grateful to @tnadvocatesforpp for sponsoring this event and for their ongoing advocacy.
Encouraging a love of reading in kids today means setting them up for success tomorrow. Letβs keep inspiring young minds, one book at a time! #ReadAcrossAmerica #LiteracyMatters #KidsWhoReadSucceed
Today is one of my favorite days of the year because I got to read to the Pre-K and Kindergarten classes at Hermitage Elementary!
Reading at an early age is so importantβit sparks imagination, builds confidence, and lays the foundation for lifelong learning.
Thanks for everything Jane and Lee. Our community is a better place because of your tireless dedication.
Through weekly litter pickups and various beautification efforts, they work tirelessly to make a difference.
To celebrate, we planted red poppy seeds along the entrance ramp of I-40 Westbound off Central Pike. Come spring, Hermitage will be bursting with color!
One of the most rewarding parts of this job is recognizing those who go above and beyond for our community.
Last Thursday, I had the honor of presenting a proclamation to Jane Schnelle and Lee Purnell in appreciation of their dedication to keeping our community clean.

The Tate bros are monsters and deserve to be in a cell for the remainder of their lives. So much for the campaign promise to keep rapists and sex traffickers from crossing the border.
Just a couple of guys who believe in the American Dream scheming for the future. @voteluismata.bsky.social
Mark your calendars for this event! It could save you time and money going forward. Thanks to the Office of the Nashville Metropolitan Trustee for facilitating this event!
We entered a new low today. The US sided with North Korea and Russia on a resolution condemning the war on Ukraine. Unbelievable.
We were in line to potentially receive a second grant to support our efforts in this area. While nothing is certain, the chances of securing any additional funding are slim. This will cause issues affecting our ability to combat homelessness that will be felt by all of us.
Our city depends on federal funding in ways that may not be immediately obvious. One area of particular concern is the funding dedicated to addressing homelessness.
You can now die for this country in battle with no guarantee that your body will be returned. Gross incompetence is an understatement. This is vile.
Come grab a cup of coffee with me this Saturday!
A tale of two cities.
Last night in Nashville, we voted to send a message to Gov. Lee that vouchers are not supported by the Metro Council. The Greene County (my hometown) Commission in rural NE TN did the same thing.
Vouchers are overwhelmingly being rejected by blue and red areas of the state
I chaired my first Metro Council committee meeting last night! Pretty cool sitting in the big seat!
PARDONED: This disturbing video has always stuck with me. Albuquerque Head of Kingsport TN was sentenced to 90 months in prison for using a stolen riot shield to attack police officers. Thanks to President Trump, he will walk free.
Today we honor Dr. King and remember his legacy and vision for America.
Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin gets a standing ovation at his farewell ceremony.
Nothing depicts strong leader like saying βI canβt handle the cold for a half hourβ.
Iβve had several folks ask me what my second lapel pin is all day. Itβs a pin that West Wing Carter Administration officials handed out to special guests.
Rest In Peace to one of the most moral men who ever served as POTUS. We need more like Jimmy.
We have real problems in this country and you are focused on attacking the freedom of others? Do something to improve the lives of your constituents and stop this stupid bullshit.
Kicking off 2025 with a community meeting heavily focused on public safety. Come join us next Thursday night!
When they ask you why you think the richest dude in the world is deeply deranged and insecure, show them this interaction between him and his burner account.
I learned a long time ago that you always surround yourself with top talent when it comes to politics. Iβm glad to have these two on Team Huffman!
