A nice bullseye insertion for Vulcanβs entry into service with SF106
The trick to this shot is holding on to the lightning tower really, really tight. #SF106
Itβs really special
Next year, year after year
Vulcan is ready. Letβs go to space.
Hereβs a fun Timelapse of the roll. USSF106
Vertical integration facility. The rocket is so big, it has to be shipped in pieces and assembled at the launch site. We prefer to do this vertically because some spacecraft donβt like to be tipped on their side
Hereβs a shot from the interior of the new VIF. This is the OVI Cell (Off Vehicle Integration). Structure is complete. Now installing the hydrazine, pneumatic and electrical systems.

You guys liked the launch head pic so much, hereβs a cool shot inside the VLP mast of a couple of skilled technicians working on the interior installations, which are now at 81% complete.
Cool pic of all 4 launch heads installed on the second Vulcan mobile launch platform in VIF-A at the Cape.
Shiny new infrastructure at SLC-3, VSFB California. Heading towards being able to start launching Vulcan from the west coast soon.
Up, up, and awayβ¦
No spoilers
VSFB SLC 3 is supported by 1 "MST" (Mobile Service Tower). At this pad, the launch platform stays put and the building rolls back b. West coast is used primarily for polar orbits (although we once went to Mars from there). Those are not as frequent, so 1 MST will be adequate for now
Stacking the payload, testing everything, formally reviewing all the documentation, conducting boards for all known risks& open paper, rolling out to the pad, etc, etc
Fun conversation with Morgan Brennan, with very insightful questions (as usual)

Is it Christmas already in Florida? Or is is the last girder tree topping on VIF-A at the Cape?
Well done K-12 students, ULA and BAE interns!
COLAs: launch opportunities and orbital slots have to avoid the large error spheres around each object, which is (currently) much larger than the object. Cascade potential; each bird passes by another within 24km (at 7.6km/sec) several times/day. Responsible behavior and norms are very importantβ¦
