In all seriousness, Mr. Mayor-Elect, I can’t wait to see how you serve the people. We have a young mayor in Baltimore with new ideas, and I think @mayorbmscott.bsky.social is doing a great job trying to push the city along!

Just got off a call with Dem leadership in the House
1. There are over 20 republicans that are soft on the Budget Monstrosity
2. They will get a ton of pressure to vote for it
3. We can create even more pressure to vote against it, but it will take all of us
4. We only need 4 flips.
The Speaker of the House said on television that a sitting governor should be “tarred and feathered.” The GOP wants this violence, and anything other than full apologies and actual positional change is hollow.
This took a while to get done, but I've chronicled my day among the protesters in Los Angeles, and the idea that this is anything but a celebration of cultural heritage and a firm, nonviolent demand to protect family, friends and neighbors is totally ridiculous.
