Chris Musgrave, one of the private partners to have extracted around £140m from the publicly-funded Teesworks project, is a resident of Dubai.

Across the river in Redcar, that council has had to borrow £18m from the government to cover the cost of social care.

They say for the first time the number one cause of children needing social care is drug addiction in parents and not domestic abuse.

Hartlepool goes out in thirds in May. Could be a few before then.
