there's not help coming. we are all we have. and the people who have been doing the brunt of the MA work have tapped their resources.

we need buy in from other places because the mayor, the governor, and now likely the city council said no help for you.

“There’s Another Way”: Rent Relief, Love Letters, and 1,000 Pee Funnels "There’s nothing like getting to give someone their rent money," says mutual aid organizer Ashley Fairbanks.

I talked with @ziibiing.com about Stand With Minnesota, keeping neighbors housed during ICE escalation, and directing generosity where it’s actually needed.

At least $100 million in lost wages from the ICE invasion in Minnesota. No wonder so many people are struggling to make rent. With minimal help from state and local government, we have to save each other with mutual aid.

It’s time to pass Pause Evictions, Save Lives in Minneapolis. Currently, renters receive a 30-day notice prior to a landlord filing an eviction.

This ordinance would temporarily expand this timeline to 60 days through August 30, 2026.

The first vote is at Committee of the Whole on Tuesday. 1/

Also, all y'all with eyes on Minneapolis right now, the overlap between immigration and houselessness is sizeable and ICE has been staking out shelters and warming centers and even sent armed agents inside Dorothy Day. Our unhoused neighbors have nowhere to hide.

Currently tearing my hair out because I adopted an urgent rent need for a family that needs to pay $3050 RIGHT MEOW to stay out of eviction court and then I got an urgent request from another rent fund and there’s $320 left in my Venmo account. So much need and I wish I could be everywhere at once 😭

Just got a message from South High saying “We currently have requests totaling $33,965 for rent and we have $7500 available tomorrow. Please try to share the gofundme widely! Thanks”
