Wait, this data is from the "It's about time" paper by Yang, Xie and Zisserman, right?
Their conclusion was that synthetic data works though: "We show that the model trained on the proposed synthetic dataset generalizes towards real clocks with good accuracy, advocating a Sim2Real training regime"

I think the most important thing about migrating from X to Bluesky is demonstrating to Big Tech that they (including Bluesky) cannot take us for grantedโwe are what is valuable, not them
Now approaching 20M users with a growing growth rate (+11 users per second)
That's one solution, but if there is a fee to enter it cannot really be described as a public square anymore.
To be clear, I have no strong preference for Bluesky over other Twitter alternatives. I'm just glad that critical mass has been reached on one of them.
I'm not sure twitter has a lot of legitimacy left to be described as the public square. Some major news outlets like the Guardian have already decided to stop publishing on it.
I feel a little bit sorry for Yann Le Cun who's going to be the only Computer Vision person posting on Threads
