Hoping to get a bit more from outside the UK / US axis (and to hit a funk/soul seam at some point).

You have to question what the critics who chose some of these albums were thinking (at least some of the time). Still going though, so...

Not half bad.

A week to go before #GigGang heads off to Oslo (Hackney) to see #TheDeadlians do their thing. Highly recommend you joining us if you can.
β¦if Healy doesnβt make a ton, then she and Mitch Starc could end their test careers with what would surely be a unique record.
They would be the only married couple with the same highest test score. And, for extra kudos, that score is 99.

Maxwell's Urban Hang Suite
Yesterday's album wasn't one I'd previously come across. It has a late period Marvin vibe, but without the sprinkle of genius
Led Zep 4 - first LP that I ever paid money for
Cindi Lauper, She's So Unusual - not for me
Adele, 25 - say no to power ballards
Grant Lee Buffalo, Fuzzy - middle of the road
Been doing the work but haven't updated here for a bit...
Not quite, but I was listening to Stephen Malkmus's song Jenny & the Ess-Dog today and had forgotten the random mention of Dire Straits LP Brothers in Arms

Day 28: Allo Darlin' - Tallulah (2012, non-single)
Further vote splitting, but sneaking in a Go-Betweens nod.
"And you were searching for something to sing to,
As the radio played another terrible song,
But lucky for me, you found the tape with 'Tallulah' on..."

Hope so!
I think I'm at least open to the case @crickettragic5.bsky.social makes that this gives those on the fringe a chance to make a case. (Assuming the training camps go ahead somewhere.)

BREAKING: Due to the political situation, ECB are delaying England Womenβs departure to Abu Dhabi for their scheduled training camp. Itβs possible it may be called off altogether - thatβs TBC.
Another potential blow to Englandβs WC preparation, given they have no bilateral cricket scheduled.

I didn't much like them when they were in the charts (perhaps it was the sweaters) but this is great. Favourite Shirts (Girl meets Boy) is the standout song.

The @ECB_cricket has written to the 8 Hundred franchises reminding them of their responsibilities around discrimination. Sources told @BBCSport Pakistan players are not being considered by the 4 Indian-owned sides for the Hundred auction. #BBCCricket

And ultimately, they won't get that assistance.
While most talk about the men's game, in terms of franchise T20 brushing aside international cricket, that has the potential to happen far more quickly in women's cricket, given most Full Members have no professional structures to begin with.
If the last 10-15 years of women's cricket seemed to develop at a dizzying rate, it will look like nothing compared with what's about to come.
If most boards don't find ways of rapidly professionalising their domestic systems, they will very quickly fade from being remotely competitive.
