Fucking hell, man.
Jack knew what he was talking about
A sketch of Steve Ditko's Blue Beetle and The Question surrounded by a swirling question mark composed of smoke by me!
Blue Beetle & The Question commission (Nite Owl and Rorschach for you whippersnappers). Green Bay Comic & Toy Show.
Iβm less than forty pages into this, but I feel like James Cameron ripped this series off whole cloth. Rocannonβs World is Avatar if it took place on a more interesting planet with more interesting lore.
I am so due for a reread of Grendel vs The Shadow. One of my favorite comic miniseries of all time and would also probably make for a pretty entertaining yaoi
Glad I grabbed this at my local shop not too long ago
Youβll love the Dennis OβNeil/Mike Kaluta comics. Really great stuff
Hell, our guy grew up in an orphanage
Trying to remember. Is this from Hickmanβs SHIELD?
And it is brilliant. Really excited for the copy my partner preordered for me.
Ennis and Dillonβs Punisher is so good. Itβs definitely not for everybody, and I get that. But the pace and flow of it is beautiful to me. Writing and art perfectly complimentary to each other. Itβs no wonder almost every Punisher adaption to exist has taken bits and pieces from it.
Iβm hesitant to post these sorts of things here because I think of Bluesky as being a high brow place where the bullshit I write is considered garbage dreck. Anywayβ¦
I get my news from a reliable source
Shadow stories and their covers rule. Just finished reading this one today.
The cover shows the Shadow using a magazine stand for cover while he fires his gun at someone we can't see. A copy of the Shadow magazine is visible on the stand, next to a romance pulp magazine named "Love Story." The Shadow doesn't realize that there is a man behind him about to hit him in the head with a club.
The Shadow magazine, dated February 1, 1941. Cover by Graves Gladney.
Art from a story featuring The Shadow. He is covering goons with his guns when he suddenly sees more goons by a doorway.
I love when pulp reprints include the interior art
Thomas Wayne Batman guzzling booze
Bruce Wayne as Batman and Thomas Wayne as Batman in a satirical post
I watched Flashpoint Paradox and made some Thomas Wayne shitposts. Any interest in em, Bluesky friends?
His Autobot counterpart is nearby!
This trope in superhero comics will never not be funny to me
βI hang out with Dan Garrett. Heβs kind of the coolest.β
