Your underrated appearance on 2003's Micallef Tonight still gives me a laugh when Shaun says "U.S. Forces" is his favourite track (which doesn't have much drumwork in it π).
Making synthpop every day for this year's #jamuary! Time to catch up!

Back when Twitter was just about bearable I sent out a hopeful
Tweet asking for Lovely Beatles Moments.
Not songs or albums - just shards of Beatleness that make people happy.
I turned the responses into a little zine.
Here it is. Hope you like it.

Sounds like there's an opening for an actual Abbott (if the maths thing doesn't work out)
Is there an Abbott Abbott?
I like getting the likenesses of people right, but I also sometimes enjoy the freedom of playing with them being wrong
A SKELITEN WHO DOSENT KNOW WHATS GOING ON, EVER, BUT THAT DOSENT STOP THEM!!! MOSTLY BECUASE THERES NO WAY TO ACTUALY STOP ,WE ARE FLUNG THROUGH TIME EITHER EXCRUCIATINGLY SLOWLY OR SO FAST THINGS ARE GONE BEFORE WE EVEN SEE THEM, THE PASSING OF MINUTES OR YEARS NOT SO MUCH A MARCH AS A DERANGED PROGRESS BAR, TICKING AWAY TO 100% BUT SOME TIMES YOU SIT THERE FOREVER STUCK AT LIKE 31% SO WHAT DA FUCK !!! Important point made by @bookyvikki.bsky.social and @missyel.bsky.social about the ways in which the sexiness of The Beatles changes as the years fly by!
That's so helpful, thanks! I think Freddie could have got Oberon and Titania from this paintiny from the same article, Contradiction: Oberon and Titania - it was in Sotheby's scan and he kept the clipping
I don't think it was either, at least if it was, it hadn't been transcribed or published widely. He had to have known the characters, though?
Would you happen to know which issue of the Sunday Times Midsummer Nightmare was published? I think it was maybe Aug 27 or Sep 3, but not sure...
Congrats on the article, I have been researching exactly the same thing! Do you think Freddie could have seen the original manuscript? There was also an article about Dadd in Oz in 1971, I think it's likely Freddie could have seen that!
For the Queen Heads (or really just music fans), here's something I wrote for the 50th Anniversary of Queen II, which was published by @theartsfuse.bsky.social. It's a few months old at this point, but it's new to you! artsfuse.org/289802/music...

Letter from Doyle to Bram Stoker. My dear Bram SToker, I am sure you will not think it an impertinence if I write to tell you how very much I have enjoyed reading Dracula. I think it is the very best story of diablerie which I have read for many years etc.
Arthur Conan Doyle has one of the most delightfully legible handwriting styles of any 19thC writer. The letter below is to Bram Stoker, congratulating him on the publication of Dracula. Font people! Why has no-one made this into a font yet, like the Jane Austen font? #C19th
