Pretty close race
Apparently the landslide was so huge that the LDP ran out of candidates to fill the seats they won on the proportional lists. It looks like if they had more candidates they would have gained a further 14 seats in the Diet, raising the LDP majority to 330
He has the charisma, I don't know if his youth will help by being seen as Post-Trump or hurt him by being seen as inexperienced. He feels like the candidate Evelyn Normielib would support as Buttigieg ages out of being the wunderkind. I could see Ossoff becoming a solid VP nominee to a Newsom type
Surprised that the new Centrist Reform Alliance didn't do better. But it might be the result of existing voter dissatisfaction towards the Con Democrats and the Komeito. With pro and anti-LDP factions in the Komeito having emerged as a result of the party's decades long alliance with the LDP
This is the most seats a Japanese party has ever won in post war history. The last time the LDP won at least 300 seats was back in 1986. Getting a 2/3 majority is also huge as the LDP can now amend the Constitution and pass laws without needing the support of the upper house or any other parties.
