Reminiscing of our recent composers mission to LA, bringing a delegation or 10 , Irish and Northern Irish based professional composers for screen to meet industry and promote Ireland as a destination for screen music.
Very welcome news of new enhanced tax credit for mid to low budget films, we are delighted to see Composer listed amongst key creatives, of which one must be national of or normally resident in Ireland / EEA .

SCGI is delighted to be representing composers at Coimisiún na Méan at GEDI conference today.
The conversation on a content levy continues. SCGI supports an introduction of such a levy where the benefit is used to help fund productions with creative lead from Ireland and where IP is retained by Irish creators.
