Movie critic cycle:
1. "safe friendly critics” of movie see a movie months/weeks early; give largely positive reviews
2. movie released. IP fans see it 1st and LOVE it
3. normal people and lower tier critics see it, have normal critiques
4. original critics adjust their views
My heart breaks to see any story on film that ends with the literal words “to be continued.” As a writer, I think even half a story deserves a real ending. They did it with Dune. Write an original song for the movie if you have to. It’s just so soulless for the viewer.

This show, on WEDNESDAY, is the 5th iteration of it. It's quite the social experiment, if I do say so myself.
Past audience prizes have included drink tickets, t-shirts, celebrity memoirs and posters. Everyone goes to the excellent Broadwater Plunge Bar after so it's a seriously fun night out that won't break the bank.
In the past, comics have chopped wood because their family did logging, sang karaoke to commemorate sobriety, tried to do a psych eval on an audience member because their sister does that and did a sermon in honor of their pastor mother. Praise be.
Everything you'll see on stage has NEVER happened before. We don't do rehearsals but it's a talent show. AND, it's judged by someone who has famous parents. In this lineup, our judge's parents are very well known. But I can't say who they are, because it's a SURPRISE.
