Oh no, not cool. This guy is so anti-poor. Please Nepal. You can do better.
Listening to Reformasi Dispatch to start my workweek too, btw. β€οΈ itβs brilliant!
Lesser reported, Min Aung Hlaing met with both Modi and Xi (via Frontier Myanmar which you better be reading!!)
Catching up with the news. Horrible to see how quickly things are escalating.
Oh no, this is escalating?
βI know the Virgo moon whether I want to or not.β - @davidnaimon.bsky.social making me laugh so hard while listening to Between the Covers. Still savoring the delight of the Macfarlane episode & now giggling over this other fabulous Rob.
The joy of bookworm adulthood is the power to create your own required reading list. The agony is in being a poly reader and not knowing how to take notes in accordance with your madness.
Going to Bosnia next week and trying to make sense of what it is I want to experience while Iβm there. Do you have any tips and readings? @genta.bsky.social @a-d-n.bsky.social
This was a searing & important read: bylinetimes.com/2025/07/10/f...
This is the mutual admiration club. :) Got the chance to recommend some books to the ALR readership. Check these titles out and get your hands on Ben Tausigβs books, too!
Hey youβre here! β€οΈ Youβve written a wonderful book that I hope reaches more people!
Finally finding time to read this, slowly and deliberately. Iβm surprised by the lines that make me laugh out loud, irreverent and searing. Love, love this book.
"My detention is a testament to the strength of the student movement in shifting public opinion toward Palestinian liberation."
"It is students who steer us toward truth and justice."
I feel like booking a ticket to The Hague just to be where the action is. What a surreal day.
Ooof! Election season in the Philippines and the eyesore politiciansβ faces are out again. But the people are still wonderful & the food is still mouth watering! β€οΈ Happy to be home.
We're really the toughest on ourselves!
"The struggle against capital & for socialism is a struggle for democracy in all realms of life, from work to school to health to housing. It emerges from immiseration but must be fueled by possibility." @amnaakbar.bsky.social for @nplusonemag.com

Loving this meta process. :)
Just goes to show you that in Philippine politics, it's really about who's in charge and not party or personal loyalty per se.
Hahaha! I wish! Love the concept, too! So only when Iβm being Poirot is what Iβll apply for!
No syempre hahaha! Iβm just annoyed because their original plan is to up the rate to 5k. Can you imagine?!
I attended an awrds ceremony for journalist recently and during the panel they said that the biggest risk journalists face is EM's takeover of Twitter. I was so shocked because I kept thinking of actual journalists losing their lives while working.
I loved reading it and agree with you. I'm offline but still doomscrolling here--but only for today. Otherwise I'm reading. Thinking to get back to blogging too.
Congratulations on the launch! I would love to read this!
The fee to apply for Belgian nationality has gone from 150 euros to 1,000 euros as part of this new government's plan to have the strictest migration policies in Europe.
This while spending less on social services and more on defense capability in the guise of keeping people safe. Same bullshit.
This. For everything. Just keep drawing the line and connecting the dots.
Necessary read. The pit in my stomach gets deeper as a new government is formed in Belgium and their priorities are far from social welfare.
Really big! Insane news for an already wild news cycle!
