Trade deadline passed, stretch of 11 hockeys in 11 days is over
Think Iβm gonna sleep for the next 20 hours
Flames retaining 20% on Kadri helps too
The Samuel Girard trade from a week or two ago
Finally, the deadline may have been salvaged!
Nazem Kadri (traded to COL) is still a super dynamic piece, one of the league's best in transition has he blends his hands & skill to generate zone entries/exits, create chances, and draw penalties.

Scott Laughton has been traded to LA. He is a defensively-stout bottom-6 centre who thrives on the penalty kill and brings great off-ice initiative & leadership.

Justin Faulk has been feeling the age curve effects the last few seasons, but remains a fine defenceman thanks to above-average offensive tools with the puck that allow him to put up great production from the blue line.

Nice risk-free signing for LA signing Mathieu Joseph.
Joseph isn't a scorer but his development matrix shows that he knows that. His toolkit is pretty well optimized; minimizing how often he would have to rely on weaker skills while being a speedy forechecking defensive winger.

Trade accepted!
Brayden Schenn is SEEMINGLY (pending him accepting the deal) on his way to the Islanders. The Blues' captain is a well-rounded middle-6 centre who gets most of his value from puck-moving ability and a good floor.

Corey Perry remains one of the best offensive net-front presences out there. He also a good forechecker who puts up decent two-way play-driving numbers.

New Feature for Trade Deadline Day
Weegar was traded for three 2nd round picks. Want to know what a reasonable expectation of value is for those picks? Now you can. Introducing the Draft Pick Value Simulator which can be found under the Analytics menu. (1/5)

Wow, did not expect this. Carlson is still an excellent defenceman. His lethal slapshot plus playmaking from the point make him a top-notch PP quarterback, who is still involved and effective defensively to force opposing turnovers.

Garland is a feisty well-rounded winger who uses his smaller stature and tenacity to cut through contact, backed with an underratedly solid puck-moving game in all three zones.

Foegele has had a rough season by his standards but remains an effective shutdown 3rd liner thanks to his forechecking and ability to limit chances against when on the ice.

what the hell david how
Just kidding, Parayko uses his NMC to block the deal
Unreal work by Colorado. Even if it doesn't work out, spending a 5th on Blankenburg is a bet you always make.

never, ever, ever, ever accept "how will you pay for it?" as an argument against social programs.
I shouldβve specified Weegar still needs to accept it but most people Iβve seen are treating it as done
MacKenzie Weegar has been traded to Utah. Even in a down year, he grades quite well on our side thanks to his tools giving him a good all-around base at worst, and a highly-impactful two-way D at best.

Colton Parayko has been traded to Buffalo. It's been a down-year for him, but he remains an imposing presence that uses his frame to mitigate chances against at a solid level and hoist a powerful shot.

mostly this
prayer circles and sacrificial rituals
(more seriously, just taking from the Brady-Robo chatter and trying to capitalize on Kyrou's value dip with some sort of Greig, Hensler, 1st package, then a pick for Comrie)
two year anniversary of this
Thankfully not here!
