So I am sampling the cocktails at the Academy Museum restaurant. Every year they make cocktails inspired by the films nominated for Best Picture. Behold, the Hamnet! Does anyone know what this orange flower thing on the top is supposed to be? I have not seen the film.

is life just a series of days where you're tired in the afternoon and wide awake at night, running behind on weekly deadlines, and seeing pants get slim and big and then slim again over the years until you die?

No other word has done more damage to the craft of writing in recent years than “content”. Even if you’re using the word “content” ironically, or as a cute little joke, don’t. When someone calls writing “content” they’re pissing on someone’s hard work & passion. “Content” is Technosatan’s henchword.

I don’t know why anyone expected better from the mens hockey team. I certainly did not.

I resent the pivot to video so much. I do not want to become an "on air personality." I do not want to boil everything down into little pithy viral slogans. I don't want to worry about my f'ing hair. I hate it all. Hate it.

This one hits hard.
