Update. This book was a waste of time.
Update. This book was a waste of time.
(No, I don't have a proposed solution.)
Some speculative whiteboard masturbation - but it's interesting to see the pup community 'oversaturated' with 101 information geared towards pups rather than handlers. (IMO, the hypnosis community could use more content geared towards subjects.)
Quote from St. Clair, J. (n.d.). Bark! Nazca Plains.
It doesn't excuse poor behavior on either side, but it can make it less problematic when someone is being a shit.
I'm on writing sabbatical, but it'd be nice to spread this to newer tists:
- Test clicker response *early* to make sure the subject can handle it.
- If clicker training, *also* train the null response if a clicker is in the hands of someone else. (Irritation, indifference, etc.)
Never used leetcode before - took me like 5 minutes to solve. If I had someone looking over my shoulder I would've felt anxious about my brain farts. I'm definitely O(n^2) though.
𧑠Just makes me happy to see ya out having fun
Well. Some news is good.

Todo - stop this pattern:
- Resolve to do less emotional labor.
- Keep your own shit together.
- Appear available because you're self-regulating.
- Do emotional labor anyway.
- Self-regulate away frustration with the self-imposed asymmetry.
(I'm figuring it out.)
Days since being randomly asked for a session on reddit: 0
Oh jeez. @_@ That's huge!
You're one of the few folks I can think like... "Oh, actually, if they put their mind to it, that'll absolutely happen."
Rooting for ya and ping me any time on it!
Got it - I'll give it a go! Still debating how much I want to cheap out on storage and how to manage that.
Researchrabbit is something I've gotta try out
If you told me three years ago Iβd be installing Zotero to manage my hypnosis citations, I would ask you to buy me a beer.
Article: "Objectification and Passive Suggestions"
Objects don't move. Objects don't think.
We can use the framing of objectification to create extremely potent trances -- using suggestions that allow a person to succeed by being passive, like an object.

I'll DM. My play partner at the time abreacted by screaming but it was effective π they would've kept going
.... Well this is gonna keep me entertained for 5 minutes
I'm fucking down for it.
Jesus fuck. That would take me two or three weeks.
Uh - let me figure out what the fuck I was smoking.
I'll DM. I think my takes are still a bit too spicy for public consumption.
Man - it's not gonna solve the problem, but it doesn't try to give me a loot box enema every three days.
Anyway, gonna pop into VR for a bit and do some pleasure reading afterwards. (Mostly to do due diligence before I recommend it as "what's hypnosis, but the really long version.")

CW: AI crap
Man, sometimes I get a bit anxious about how AI can shit out code for problems that are previously solved.
Then I watch something like this and wonder what sort of legacy slop I may have the privilege of cleaning up.

Dude hella. Especially if the kink has a low entry barrier. Takes 10 minutes tops for someone to stick them in their own straightjacket. Hypnosis takes like two weeks to hit a basic skill level with, but if youβre really into it, you can pick it up.
</inconsequential void screaming>
You don't need to go nuts. Just learn how to do the things you'd like done to you.
Man. Plenty of things piss me off more than this.
But when someone expresses disinterest in switching after asking for a session because "it's hard" is in the top 20.
Yeah. It is hard.
I'm telling you to learn, practice, or stop complaining.
Asymmetry is a choice.
I think the narrative is important, but I think the narrative also needs to describe the relationship. Engagement is (mostly) volitional in the session, but disengagement outside the session is far more effective, if sometimes unfortunately difficult and impractical.
If you want another nail in the coffin, I wrote this thing up. (Pretty sure you read it when I was working on it!)

There's a *huge* difference for me between someone going in a direction that's a bit spicier than I initially expected, and them deliberately pushing beyond negotiated boundaries. The first one I'll ask my partner to stop, the second one I'll raise hell over.
Man - if you have good intentions, you're probably fine. It's still worth being careful, but there's two ways the fuckup can go:
- Suggesting something your partner doesn't like.
- Maliciously trying to get more than they negotiated for.
