With all the chaos going on, something to pay attention to is proposals to change banking rules with the FDIC (banks) and NCUA (credit unions).
Don't let this slip under the rug!

My sweater got caught on my glasses as I pulled it over my head. I approached my husband for assistance saying, "Cornholio needs help".
It strikes me as such a generational thing and also makes me feel so much older for some reason.
This story uses elements from his latest work (Juniper is the MC of those) but old favorites of Jilly and thr crow girls are very much present battling ICE. <3
Fans of Charles DeLint may enjoy this short story:
ICE came to Newford. Big mistake.
A free novelet for all of you.

Blue whispy cloud sky with a line of mountains in the distance. Rolling green hills lead to a waterfall and autumn tree line with a rolling river at the bottom of the painting.
This week's painting, Cascade Meadows inspired by a Diane Andre tutorial on the Alexander Art YouTube.
Making progress!
Clean bathtub was actually on my made better list! Also on the list is improving my painting skills with practice and supporting my family with replacing a bum clothes dryer.
My little corner of the universe is made better by what I do every day. It's only Wednesday, let's see what else I can do
Does this include data centers?
I am sick of living through historical/interesting times.
A purple sky and greenish wave
Here's the first attempt. (Based off of season 13, episode 12-Oval Essence)
A purple sky and bluish wave
I wanted to try a black canvas painting and also waves...so I did both in this week's painting adventures. Second first this time
An alternate SOTU, state of Swamp
Truly shocked to see DE Governor Matt Meyer on stage.

Time and time again he has overstepped ALL legal statutes. We can't keep waiting for the courts to give a speed bump to his actions. WE THE PEOPLE elected YOU to represent us in Congress. YOU and your associates are duly empowered to stop this madness that is hurting the American people.

At the end of the day(s) though, I am reminded of the saying, "comparison is a thief of joy".
Each painting is glorious in its own way. The techniques and methods I am practicing will only lead to even better ways to express myself when I am no longer relying on tutorials.
Same basic painting but more refined.
So, I decided to try again with the lessons learned! This time my canvas was not slick at all, which was its own problem. I used the largest of my canvases but still struggled with brush size.
The color saturation is so different on this one, it amazes me. (3/4)
A primitive copy of the Bob Ross painting.
So I attempted to paint it as shown! On my smaller canvas, I was challenged with finding the right brushes to make the right strokes. I also was too heavy handed with the magic white and struggled with the too-slick canvas. My second tree came out mid-fall and my cloud turned into volcano gas 2/4
Screenshot of Steve Ross' painting from series 3, episode 13 of Bob Ross series. Its a cloudy sky with a mountain range in the far distance, rolling blue-grey hills in the nearer distance, an embankment with two happy pine trees and bushes nearer the viewer and a clump of bushes closest. Peaceful water fills the valley between the outcrops.
Season 3, episode 13 of Bob Ross painting series has Steve Ross painting (slowly) as Bob answers viewer questions. The painting is a relatively simple one and quintessential Bob Ross style (see below). (1/4)
Best friend from HS is deaf. We were both photographers (before digital existed) and I know how to say the alphabet in ASL. I would sign ASL letters into her hand in the dark room if there was something urgent she couldn't hear.
FYI-->DIY is one of my oft' repeated errors (dylecix typos win!)
That definitely helped the first one! I'd like to think I'm focusing on technique right now, not results, if that makes sense. Getting the mistakes done so I can do it properly faster later.
Tips are welcome!
Screenshot of the original Bob Ross painting completed in season one, episode 4.
For reference, here's a screenshot of Bob Ross, season 1, episode 4 that I am attempting to replicate.
2nd attempt at a wet-on-wet painting of mountains in the sky with a cabin nestled in the crags. The penguins marching away are actually supposed to be fence posts. We won't talk about the penguins.
I was advised to attempt paintings multiple times, so I attempted s1e4 again. Still not satisfied, though. I am struggling with the size difference (brushes, canvas, etc) but I do like elements of this one. I'm understanding clouds better, at least.

This came up on Pandora and I couldn't help but think of you. I am thinking of you and reveling in memories shared, I hope you are as well.
Over on threads someone just use ai;dr and we all need to adopt that right quick
A wet on wet painting of mountains in clouds. Don't look at the lower right cabin(?) And bushes (?)
Adventures in oil paints continue.
Today's attempt at season one, episode 4. I hated it when I had to rush to stop painting due to incoming kids. But it is growing on me.
Moment of appreciation for *good* commentators who educate and entertain!
The Bat Out of Hell musical was an experience, let me tell you!
My personal belief is that fountain implies it can be drunk from.
