Is decaf a thing there? My preference is decaf oat milk cappuccino (not that I'm fussy π) Advice gratefully received. I don't really drink alcohol anymore so I won't be bothering the wine list!
Now I've been taught that on Babbel as an alternative non gendered way of saying thank you. Maybe another of those pesky Brazilian Portuguese ones, like sorvete instead of gelado π€·
Valeu! E vocΓͺ tambΓ©m π
Bom dia. Tudo bem. Eu tenho um irmΓ£o e uma irmΓ£. A minha filha se chama LuΓsa. Ela quer um chΓ‘ e um sanduΓche e eu sΓ³ um cafΓ© por favor. Obrigada. Tchau.
Pretty much the extent of it π
Thanks and congratulations! I'd be more than happy with a pound a week. I've a holiday on the near horizon so there's going to be a blip but I'll be aiming to get back on the wagon after
Well currently if anyone wants to know how many brothers or sisters I have, I'll blow them away π
Un loro escapado! (I learned loro only recently π)
One word at a time it's fine. Put them all together and it sounds nothing like any of them! I will say I'm glad I did some Spanish first. You can sometimes guess what something is based on a Spanish equivalent.
I had a blocked nose the other day and it did wonders for my pronunciation! I'm generally pretty decent with language but I'm finding it very challenging!!
Machine gun delivery! If it was written down, I'd be fine π
I know. You wonder why we put up with our lifestyle.
Of course, what I really need to do is live in Spain for a year. I wish.
I'm trying to watch a crime series in Spanish (with subtitles) and all the "s" swallowing and fast speaking is certainly putting me (and my supposed high intermediate B1) in my place.
I've already had my tea and I could still eat that. There is no end to my appetite. It looks delicious
Or even reining
I've lost ten pounds now so I'm having a keema curry tonight. I'm not counting its calories but I'm reigning in my portion and allowing myself a nub of naan as a treat. Then back to strictness for the next 4-5lbs ππ
www.noma-abuse.com?utm_source=s.... This was in popbitch this week. Don't know if it's the same Noma

Iestyn found listening to Myfanwy's harp practice was great for taking his mind off his haemorrhoids.

Dinner Party, a novel by Sarah Gilmartin. She also wrote "Service", a very good novel dealing with #MeToo in hospitality.
Second one of hers I've read. Didn't realise it dealt with an eating disorder -I normally avoid- so testament to how good the writing was that I finished it. A class act.
Domestic Bliss and Other Disasters by Jane Ions. Another from the lovely Bluemoose Books back catalogue.
Anyway, I've delighted you long enough and I'm going to try and finish this funny (ha ha) book tonight.
Sharing a tip I came across on Substack, an extremely satisfying way to spend 5 minutes:
